Oh lawdy! I hope this was in Wellington - on the corner of Cuba and Manners. I’m elderly enough to remember when the building was a department store instead of…
…
I need to investigate what it is now. Any idea, @weirdinwellington?
seriously have fun digging around in there, i hope you dont get lost.
( just in case this is posted before the game comes out, the game should release at 10am pst )
post your war stories here:
At about 7:30am my time this morning I finally had it unlocked. So far, I have seen some of the new items, encountered the large rooms, and some of the new enemies, and observed that its sound system doesn’t seem to play well with passing through a Numark Mixtrack Pro II, but that might just be something else.
Then it was 8am and I had to go to stinky ol’ work.
And the soundtrack is seriously boss.
Get it. Play it. Love it. Zelda/Robotron/Roguelike. Me like.
It’s another Ecclescraft! This one is about Noirland, Binding of Isaac, Noirland, Second Life, and a little fishing in Noirland.
So I went to this “zine make and swap” event tonight, at the Wellington Central Library. I was late thanks to traffic and driving around streets that were black mirrors, looking for a park.
Still, I dropped off my copies of Bemusement Park #1 and dicovered that it’s easier and more fun to cut and paste than to grovel in Scribus. There was also much collaging and destruction of withdrawn library books and magazines. All I need now is an editorial and BP#2 can be scanned into PDF format for printing!
Today I chose to Slack Off™ and spend part ofthe day in Wellington, walking from Island Bay to Kilbirnie. Initially I intended to truck from Island Bay to Oriental Bay, but that was too much.
For one thing, I’d not realised how far from Lyall Bay the Kilbirnie shopping district *is.* By the time I'dfound a place for lunch, I was quite sated with being perpiatetic for the day, augmented with a visit to the Island Bay aquatic centre.
The centre is all about the sealife. There’s a U-shaped shallow petting pool where you can molest the starfish, sea cucumbers and lone octopus; as opposed to the tanks where fish as well as invertibrates swim fetchingly for your amusement.
I’ll upload pictures to my Flickr later.
watch it at 1080p for the ideal effect ;)
We are officially taking preorders on steam here

So. I finally did it. A month late, and one complete rewrite later. I ran off five copies on the crappy downstairs office printer, and they’re available for $2.50 at The Shed Project Kapiti. (Or I can post you a copy for $4.)
This first issue of Bemusement Park is mostly an essay on what I did for my 2012 holiday, which was a much-abridged bike trip in the Wairarapa. Plenty of photos.
I’m not sure… I might knock out the next one in a month. I just need a theme.
Guess who got an Issuu account? I might redo these for readability on the web, as what’s currently there are the print-ready layouts. Sorry.
Here’s a fast-bodged-up reaction gif for all Isaac-traumatising occasions.
You might like to download The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth to find out what so horrified him in the first place. Actually, after a good 58 hours of getting small children killed by assorted abominations, I strongly recommend doing so.
I knew this was online somewhere! Patea Maori Club performing ‘Poi E’.
