How To Suck At Your Religion by The Oatmeal

Years ago, back in the age of Tripod, I wrote some simple Perl scripts and started The Tactical Nuclear Bubblebath Unofficial Elf Life Guide.
Well, now I’m starting it again, this time using Wikia.
Unfortunately, most of my data is from circa 2002, and I’m very slowly adding it all back on, rejigging the formatting, and redoing links to the archives as I go.
If any other fans of Elf Life are out there, c'mon over! I could use the help.
I never really got into Rosenberg’s previous opus Goats, but this comic is simultaneously topical, surreal and consistently funny.
Every Friday there’s another episode of an ongoing story, the first famously being Sciencemaster Adler and his mysterious fan. Or fans. Or maybe they’re not fans but are sentient vegetable people. (Mind you, this is a multiverse, so maybe there’s sentient clothing accessory people as well, but that could be heading into the Douglas Adams Territories.)
This is long but excellent
Most people don’t have faith in their god/s. Just brand loyalty. And artificially inflamed brand loyalty at that.

As seen on Rosscott Inc., then Boing Boing. And now here.
I can’t even imagine how awful political comics are going to be the next few days.

I’d start here and then just go chronologically http://dresdencodak.com/2009/04/19/onald-creely/
When you’ve caught up to the latest page of Dark Science, then I’d recommend going and starting at the beginning of the archives. I’ve found this is currently pretty much the best way to introduce new readers to the comic!
Dresden Codak is one of those must-read comics.
Completed panels from the next comic. I’m actually posting this as a full-size resource for the ‘about’ page on gladfiddle.tumblr.com, because over there Tumblr keeps shrinking it down to a postage stamp.
I’ve got to hurry up and finish writing something about what I’m doing and why, because we badly need to start raising more money for overdue bills. Ultimately, the goal is to raise even more money so I can start seeing another doctor. I’m taking medication right now which is helping my nervous system and allows me to draw more easily, but I’m still not getting as much done as I could.
Since I’m mentioning it anyway, please hit the donation button and donate $5 or whatever you can whenever you can! You should find the button on every page of this blog and Gladfiddle.
I am also taking a little extra time right now to draw up my own tones and radial patterns (like the one in that first panel), because various freebies offered by other artists online don’t seem to quite fit the bill. Hopefully you’ll see more ziptoning in future comics, as I’ve always intended.
Thanks ahead of time for helping! And don’t forget to like and reblog, too. Nobody knows I’m here!
