When you’ve caught up to the latest page of Dark Science, then I’d recommend going and starting at the beginning of the archives. I’ve found this is currently pretty much the best way to introduce new readers to the comic!
Dresden Codak is one of those must-read comics.

Written by Al Feldstein, drawn and inked by Joe Orlando, and colored by Marie Severin.
Published in 1954, one year prior to Rosa Parks’ iconic incident, the publishers of EC were threatened by the CCA and told them that they couldn’t publish them unless they changed the color of the pilot’s skin.
They published it anyway.
Also added are the letter they got from readers.
It’s humbling to think, nearly sixty years after this comic was published, that to all intents and purposes we are still apparently incapable of learning its lesson.
Indeed, it’s my belief that we won’t learn that lesson in my lifetime. And certainly not before half-past too late.
Learning.
What makes this comic is the haunted look in the father’s eyes. He knows how things work, but it doesn’t mean he likes it.

Something has to be done about the parlous state of not only US education, but of religious faith in the United States. Mainly because all these demands that “everything must have Jesus in it!” show a shocking lack of faith in God at all.
